Membership of the Society is open to any person who is interested in the railway history of the Rainhill Trials, the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway line and the aftermath of these historical events up to the present day.
The Society has members from all walks of life, young and old, various backgrounds, historians, authors and people who just have a general interest in railways.
Member of the Society is only £10.00 per year which includes free attendance to our indoor meetings, as well as participating in other events / outings arranged by the Society. Also provides the opportunity to willingly assist other members in present and future Society activities especially with both the 200th Anniversary celebrations of the Rainhill Trials in 2029 and the Liverpool & Manchester Railway in 2030.
The membership year operates from 1st October to the 30th September the following year.
