Publicity & Sales Stand

As part of raising the profile of the Society we attend various exhibitions and events with a Publicity and Sales Stand in order to publicise and promote the Rainhill Trials and the Liverpool and Manchester Railway line history to the general public at large. It provides the Society with extra funds through the sales of merchandise etc which will assist in part funding future events and also looking towards the 200th Anniversary Celebrations in 2029 and 2030 too. The Stand is manned by a small group of member volunteers who give up their spare time to promote the cause as well as to encourage people to join our friendly Society.

The Publicity & Sales Team would like to thank everyone who came and see us at both the St Helens Heritage Event (St Helens Town Hall) on Saturday, 23th May 2026 and at the 'Rainhill Gala' (St Ann's School Field) on Monday, 25th May 2026.
